Hi, I am Jenny Vanhoff, creator and owner of Shine Alive Coaching. I am passionate about hearing the stories of my clients and facilitating their growth through deep listening, intuitive guidance, powerful questioning and a personal commitment to the success of each person I work with.
As a lifelong learner, homeschooling parent, sister and wife I highly value personal integrity, playfulness and a commitment to being present, awake and aware during my time on this planet. My relationships come first. I believe the breath in our lungs is a gift and should not be wasted. My commitment to deliberate living is carried over into my relationship with myself and those that I love. I firmly believe we all have the creative power to manifest the life of our dreams. No one person is more powerful than the other. We all have the gift of intention and creation. As a person and a life coach I make it a practice to honor conscious language, the power of intention and the creative ability of pure faith. The many lessons I have had the privilege to learn in my lifetime have shaped me and created who I am today. I value them deeply and consider them some of my most divine experiences.
It is my deepest goal to instill in others a sense of freedom from debilitating, non-productive and limiting belief cycles and to guide them into creating the financial, spiritual, interpersonal and physical health they desire to have. I have had the extreme privilege of acquiring my coaching education from the International Coach Academy. My coaching style can be described as compassionate ferociousness. I coach toward the core at all times and quickly go to the heart of the issue so you can move forward toward more deliberate living. I have coached clients from around the world including Egypt, Hong Kong and Costa Rica. I am interested in working with clients who desire to experience life balance, self discovery, and relationship fulfillment. About the name Shine Alive....
In March of 2004 my 26 year old brother was hit and killed by a wrong way driver on a local interstate highway while returning home from work. Receiving that phone call at 3:00 AM changed my life forever. The shock and utter despair you feel when someone you love is suddenly removed from your life is difficult to put into words. I have always been an optimist or a "glass half full" kind of person. 2004 turned out to be a huge challenge for my usually optimistic self as we experienced the death of 3 more loved ones within a year of my brother's death. I remember one particular morning on which I didn't feel like getting up and meeting the day. I was sad beyond belief. I was angry, I was hurt and disappointed at all the things I would miss out on with my brother. Then I realized that the only thing I could change was my point of view, my perspective. I made a commitment to find joy again, to honor my brother and his memory and to return to my optimistic self.
My journey to life coaching began that day. In the wreckage of my brother's car was a CD that he had made by burning a number of his favorite songs off of I-tunes onto a disc. It was labeled SHINE. My commitment to living out loud has always been part of my story, but even more so after my brother's death. With a bit of music he challenged me to continue to SHINE while on this planet and now I challenge you to do the same. SHINE ALIVE is more than just a name for my business. It is the verb for my life. I challenge you to reach forward, invest in yourself, your dreams, your hopes, your desires and to Shine Alive!
